Declining Aquifers, Increasing Electricity Prices, and Center Pivot Irrigation in Southeastern Wyoming
Abstract
The sensitivity of center pivot irrigation on a typical farm
in Laramie County, Wyoming to a single rate of decline in
groundwater levels and six rates of increase in electricity
prices is examined under high and low pressure center pivots
and three crop price scenarios from 1982 through 2002.
