The Snowy Range Observatory: Climatological and Streamflow Data Report 1982

Introduction

This report presents the 1982 climatological and 1982 water year streamflow data from the Snowy Range Water Resources Observatory. The Wyoming Water Research Center (WWRC), through partial funding from the Office of Water Policy, Department of the Interior, has continued to maintain the observatory and collect hydrologic and climatologic data. The data presented In this report represent the currently operating stations which include 21 recording precipitation gages, six recording hygrothermographs, five anemometers (one recording, four totalizing), and seven streamflow gaging stations.

The Snowy Range Observatory is located in the Nash Fork Creek drainage of the Medicine Bow National Forest in the upper North Platte River Basin (Figures 1 and 2). The individual site descriptions and instrumentation are summarized in Table 1.

Data presented in this report directly follow that found in Water Resources Series No. 81, "The Snowy Range Observatory: An Update and Review."
